A blizzard warning?!!!?

I just heard that Montana is under a blizzard warning. That's so terrible. I'm so sorry Montana. It's beautiful here. The windows are open and the breeze is streaming in. The sky is clear and you can actually see some stars out here in Da Parish.

I've been working the past few weeks on finishing out some projects. It's nice to be able to complete houses that have been waiting for the finishing touches for almost 7 years now. It's amazing how some doors and a nice coat of paint can make a house go from being rebuilt to actually a house. Sandy Pelas out here in the Parish has been where I've spent most of my time and we are finishing up here house so that her 4 nieces and nephews can come back from foster care. It's going to be great when they finally are allowed back with family. That's really what its all about right? Being with the people you love the most.

Destiny and Amy Jo from Arkansas showed up this morning ready to help me finish out Daisy Jackson's house. They worked hard through the set backs and frustrations of putting on dead bolts, power tools that aren't powerful enough and a chatty Ms. Daisy. Having them is way nicer than working the job alone. Good to have a few laughs today too.

So, here's to the rest of the week being just as beautiful and sunshiney. To Montana having an early April Fool's day joke played about the blizzard and to so many more nights like tonight..going to bed tired under a clear sky in beautiful New Orleans.

See you all here soon!
