UMass transforms Ms. Landa's home!

Last week, PNOLA had the pleasure of hosting the alumni of the University of Massachusetts! Rolling up their sleeves, this crew spent their time with us getting Ms. Landa's house significantly closer to move-in day!
The girls braved their fear of heights to prime and paint the VERY high ceilings throughout this Bienville home.

Blowing through priming, texture and paint in under two days everyone geared up to prep Landa's floors for tile. As Richard led the crew securing softs spots throughout the floor, Cassidy got the hang of the impact drill to secure the moisture resistant hardiebacker sheets.

Always excited to break out her trowel skills, AmeriCorps NCCC member Ashley led the way in laying tile, starting in the utility room.

As flooring began appearing under foot, UMass alum and current New Orleans resident Denny, set the stage for superior moldings as her crew cased and trimmed out the windows in the entirety of the house.

A HUGE Thank You! to the alumni of the University of Massachusetts that banded together from all over the country to make a significant impact on one New Orleans homeowner in a short 4 days! We look forward to hosting you again soon!
